Over the past two decades, Thomas Paquette's paintings were featured in more than four dozen solo exhibitions in prominent galleries and museums in New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Washington DC, Maine, and elsewhere. He has been painting full time since receiving his Master of Fine Art degree in Painting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1988. Paquette is the recipient of fellowships and several honors, among others: artist residencies at the American Academy in Rome, at the Aegean Arts and Cultural Exchange (Greece), at three U.S. national parks (Acadia, Yosemite, Rocky Mountain); and in Miami, a three-year residency-fellowship from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts. His works have been selected to hang in more than a dozen U.S. embassies on five continents, and he has lectured in Athens, Cardiff, and Exeter (England). His paintings are part of many private, corporate, and museum collections.
